The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) is excited to announce a new strategic partnership with the WV Central Federal Credit Union (WVCFCU), leading to the establishment of a new fund. This initiative signifies a significant step towards enhancing WVCFCU's community impact and simplifying their philanthropic efforts. Through this collaboration, PACF will oversee a grant application program on behalf of WVCFCU, with the application period commencing on June 1 and closing on August 30. Interested organizations can apply at www.pacfwv.com/grants.
Michael Tucker, President/CEO of WVCFCU, shared his enthusiasm for the initiative, “At WV Central, we are committed to supporting our members and communities in every possible way. We understand that life is challenging, and we are convinced that we can only make a meaningful difference if we work together. Our fund at the PACF allows us to take a significant step towards solving the problems that impact our friends and families. By joining forces, we can strive towards improving the quality of life for everyone.”
Ken Watts, WVCFCU Board Member, echoed this sentiment, “I’m thrilled with the new partnership WV Central Federal Credit Union (WVCFCU) now has with the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF). By having our Donor Advised Fund managed by the PACF, we will benefit from the years of experience the PACF has in managing funds earmarked for charitable giving and we'll also have the benefit of our fund housed within their 501 (C) (3) umbrella. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, WVCFCU has always been at the forefront of doing what is in the best interests of our members/owners and the community we serve. While WVCFCU has a long history of supporting the community, we feel our partnership with the PACF will only enhance our efforts to better serve our members and the communities in which they live. The strong commitment of the PACF to improve the quality of life within our community is well established and I'm proud that WVCFCU is now formally aligned with them.”
Julie Posey from PACF added, “We are thrilled to partner with WVCFCU to streamline their charitable giving and amplify their community impact. The PACF and WVCFCU are both dedicated to supporting our communities and the organizations serving them. We look forward to working together to invest in the betterment of our community.”
This collaboration between WVCFCU and PACF promises to bring about significant positive change, reinforcing their shared commitment to improving the quality of life within the community. For more information visit www.pacfwv.com/grants or call the PACF at 304-428-4438.
