The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation is a highly regarded, widely supported public charity that serves as the hub for meaningful philanthropy for 11 counties in West Virginia and Ohio. We strive to be a valuable resource for financial planners, accountants, attorneys, investment managers, trust officers, and other professional advisors who have clients that live in or care about the region. Philanthropy is often an important part of your clients’ financial and estate plans. We help you integrate charitable giving into those conversations with confidence.

Since the PACF is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charity, your client's gifts receive the greatest IRS tax deductions allowed by law. The Foundation invests their gifts thoughtfully with both current community grantmaking and future growth in mind. Our work work is guided by the expertise of our Investment Committee, Investments Managers, and nationally-recognized independent investment advisory firm, Fund Evaluation Group (FEG).

Whether your client wishes to establish a new fund or donate to an existing fund, it's easy to make a gift to your community through the PACF. We have the ability to accept a wide range of gifts, including more complex gifts. The Foundation takes care of all the administrative tasks while your client gets to focus on what's most important, their charitable goals.

Whether your client wants to make a gift now or a planned gift later, the PACF offers flexibility in fulfilling their charitable goals while addressing their unique financial circumstances. By selecting among the various types of funds, they can tailor their support to be as specific or as broad as they wish to serve the causes most important to them allowing your clients to create a lasting legacy.

Compared to creating a Private Foundation or establishing a commercial gift fund, working with the PACF is an excellent giving option for your client. The Foundation's Board and Staff are local people committed to the betterment of our region and who have an understanding of our region's nonprofits, charitable projects, and key community needs.
