Organizations working for the betterment of the Little Kanawha Area recently received $27,194 in grant support from the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) and its Little Kanawha Area Community Foundation (LKACF) affiliate through their competitive Community Action Grants Program. The fall 2024 grant recipients include:

  • Calhoun County Livestock Program - $1,000 to renovate the existing old gym to promote physical fitness to our community.
  • Grantsville Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts - $4,850 to purchase cordless headset microphones and other accessories for the PA system and recording studio. 
  • Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center - $7,708 to purchase a bariatric exam table for the Glenville Clinic.
  • The Wirt County Missional Group Ltd - $9,600 to pay for utilities in the Spring Valley Community Building and for fuel for the box truck to pick up donations. 
  • West Central Beekeepers Association - $4,036 to support the Apiary Education Program.
