The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) and Regional Affiliates of Doddridge County, Ritchie County, and the Little Kanawha Area (PACF) will begin accepting applications for the Fall 2025 cycle of its Community Action Grant Program starting July 15. The application process is fully online, and the deadline to apply is midnight on September 15.
Eligible organizations can apply to the PACF and/or any of its regional affiliates using the Community Action Grant Application, available on the PACF’s website at www.pacfwv.com/Grants.
To be considered for a Community Action Grant, applicants must be a private, nonprofit organization classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or a public institution. Either the applicant or the program to be funded must be located within the PACF’s eleven-county service area: Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood counties in West Virginia, and Washington County, Ohio. Priority counties for grant support include Wood, Wirt, Ritchie, Roane, Gilmer, Doddridge, and Calhoun.
The PACF supports a wide variety of charitable projects, including capital and equipment needs, program development, technical assistance, training, capacity building, and, in special cases, operating support.
