The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) is pleased to welcome Emily Rexroad as the organization’s Communications and Program Specialist. In this role, Rexroad will oversee strategic communications, enhance community outreach, and support the Foundation’s growing grant and initiative programs across the region.

Rexroad brings a diverse background in marketing, public relations, sales, and higher education enrollment management. A graduate of West Virginia University (WVU), she also has hands-on experience working in the local nonprofit sector, helping to launch the River City Kitty Café, a Marietta, Ohio-based nonprofit.

A resident of Marietta, Rexroad resides with her partner, Charlie, and their three cats. She is currently completing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management.

“I’m thrilled to join the PACF team,” said Rexroad. “The Foundation has shown a strong commitment to supporting this community, and I look forward to connecting with individuals and organizations who share a passion for making a meaningful impact.”

After receiving one PACF scholarship to pursue a summer journalism camp at WVU and three scholarships to pursue her higher education, Rexroad is eager to give back to the organization and community that supported her academic journey. 

“We are thrilled to welcome Emily to the PACF team,” said Amy Nahley, Executive Director. “There’s something especially meaningful about welcoming someone who was once a PACF scholarship recipient back to the Foundation as a member of our staff. Emily has experienced firsthand the impact of our donors’ generosity, and now she has the opportunity to help tell the stories of those donors and the difference they are making in our community. It’s a wonderful full-circle moment, and we’re excited to have her bring her experience, perspective, and enthusiasm to the PACF.”
