The Doddridge County Community Foundation (DCCF) will celebrate its 25th anniversary this fall. An anniversary celebration will be held on Thursday, October 23rd at the Doddridge County Park in West Union, WV, at 5:00pm. Community members, donors, and nonprofit leaders are invited to gather to commemorate this significant occasion.
Founded in 2000 as a regional affiliate of the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF), the DCCF partners with generous people, businesses, and private and family foundations to build permanent philanthropic resources that strengthen our region. What started as a single grantmaking fund in 2000 has now grown to a collection of twenty-six named funds dedicated to the betterment of Doddridge County.
Since its inception, the DCCF has awarded more than $660,000 in grants and scholarships throughout the region. Recent grantees include the Doddridge County Humane Society, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Doddridge County Family Resource Network, and Doddridge County Farmers Market. These grants highlight the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to enhancing local communities through targeted support.
These grants and scholarships were made possible thanks to the generous and continuous support of the community and the Foundation’s donors. Gifts to the DCCF are tax-deductible and can be directed to support one of its 26 named funds or to create your own named fund. This anniversary milestone underscores the generosity of donors who have entrusted DCCF with their philanthropic gifts.
