Senior Program Officer, Staff
Maribeth serves as the Senior Program Officer for the PACF, administering grantmaking programs and advancing community leadership initiatives across the Foundation’s 11-county service region while leading the Foundation’s competitive grantmaking program, assisting donors with Donor Advised Fund grants, supporting the PACF and affiliate grants committees, and working closely with nonprofits and community partners to strengthen our region.
Maribeth brings experience in Appalachian nonprofit leadership and collaborative problem-solving. Her career includes service as Executive Director of Community Food Initiatives in Athens, Ohio, Director of the Office of Civic Engagement at Marietta College, Co-Director of High Rocks Educational Corporation in West Virginia, and as a Workforce Strategist with the West Virginia Jobs Network. Across these roles, she has led grant development, cultivated partnerships, and designed programs that build nonprofit capacity and civic leadership.
A passionate believer in the power of community, Maribeth holds a master’s degree in Conflict Transformation from the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Pomona College. She is an AmeriCorps VISTA alum, and an experienced facilitator and presenter on leadership and conflict resolution. Originally from the Adirondack Mountains of New York, Maribeth has made our region her home for more than 20 years and is deeply committed to leveraging philanthropy, collaboration, and local leadership to help communities thrive.
