Owner of Kreinik Mfg. Co., Inc., Doug joined the family business in 1983 which was established by his parents, Estelle and Jerry Kreinik, in 1971 in Parkersburg. Doug graduated from PHS, WVU (business), and the Texas Computer Institute in Dallas. Doug travels and lectures worldwide about products manufactured at his South Parkersburg facility. He is married to Myla, a retired middle school guidance counselor, and his daughter, Danielle, is a television and movie producer in Hollywood. Charles, his son is recently deceased. Doug has dedicated a line of fancy shoelaces in Charles's name (CAKS) to support programs on grief support, suicide prevention and addiction counseling. Doug has served on various boards including those of the Smoot Theatre, Girl Scouts, Parkersburg Chamber of Commerce, and WVU Fashion Merchandising School. He’s been the Parkersburg Half Marathon race-walking director and a commissioner for the Citizens Board for the Parkersburg Police Department, as well as President and board member of The National Needlearts Association (TNNA), an International trade association with more than 1000 members. He is presently a Wood County Alternative Transportation Commission commissioner, on the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design Advisory Board, and a Board member of the Parkersburg Rotary Club and The National Needlework Foundation. Doug devoted 8 years of service to the PACF’s Grants Committee.

Doug is an active member of the PACF's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. He is passionate about learning and educating others on how to shape a more inclusive community for the future. In his free time, Doug enjoys baking, riding his tricycle, and traveling. His work has allowed him to travel to all 50 States!
