The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (the PACF) announces the availability of West Virginia Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) tax credits to be used immediately.

Donors who contribute to eligible PACF charitable funds may receive a West Virginia state tax credit equal to 50% of their gift, applicable to either Personal Income Tax or Corporate Net Income Tax. The minimum eligible donation is $500. Contributions must be made while credits remain available.

The PACF has participated in the NIP program for over 25 years, consistently allocating 100% of the awarded credits. Due to high demand and limited availability, the PACF will allocate this year’s credits on a first-come, first-served basis.

NIP-supported contributions directly strengthen the PACF’s efforts to meet pressing needs across its service region. In the most recent cycle, PACF-directed NIP funds helped provide emergency shelter, food assistance, essential health and household services, support for youth aging out of foster care, and community-based services in distressed areas. More than 16,000 individuals in the PACF’s West Virginia service area—including Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood counties—benefited from NIP-funded programs last year.

Donors interested in reserving NIP tax credits or learning more about eligible funds are encouraged to contact the PACF as soon as possible.
