The Ritchie County Community Foundation (RCCF) marked its 25th anniversary on August 29th with a special celebration at the Wines of Bonds Creek in Ellenboro, WV. The event brought together community members, donors, and nonprofit leaders to commemorate this significant milestone.
Established in 1999 as a regional affiliate of the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF), the RCCF has worked alongside generous individuals and families to create enduring philanthropic resources that enrich our region. What began as a single grantmaking fund has expanded to encompass 37 dedicated funds aimed at improving the quality of life in Ritchie County.
Since its inception, the RCCF and PACF have distributed over $1.86 million in grants and scholarships throughout the county. Recent recipients include the Pennsboro Volunteer Fire Department, Ritchie County Humane Society, Ritchie County Integrated Family Services, and The Gym in Harrisville. These grants highlight the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to strengthening local communities through targeted support.
This milestone is a testament to the generosity of donors who have entrusted the RCCF with their philanthropic gifts. The Foundation offers a variety of grant opportunities, each tailored to meet the unique needs of local nonprofits, reflecting the passion of those committed to community improvement.
