The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) is pleased to welcome Ashley Knight as its new Communications and Outreach Specialist. In this role, Knight will lead the Foundation’s communications and engagement efforts, strengthening connections with donors, nonprofit partners, and the community.
A Ritchie County native, Knight brings more than a decade of experience in higher education nonprofit work, as well as expertise as a small business owner and fundraising consultant. Her background in strategic communications and community engagement will help PACF expand its outreach and inspire greater philanthropic support.
Fred Rader, Executive Director of the Foundation, said, "As part of our strategic plan to enhance our brand identity and expand our outreach, we are excited to welcome Ashley as our new Communications and Outreach Specialist. This newly created role is crucial in helping us honor the commitment of our donors, whose generosity continues to make a significant impact in the community. To give perspective on the growth we are witnessing, we established 37 new funds from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 alone. With ever-growing needs in our 11 county service area, this role will ensure that we effectively celebrate the critical work being done and highlight the ongoing need for support. We are confident that Ashley will help us share these stories, further connecting our donors with the causes that matter most."
“I am thrilled to join the PACF team and help share the incredible impact of philanthropy in our region,” said Knight. “By telling the stories of generosity and community support, we can connect great people to important causes and inspire even more meaningful giving.”
For more than 60 years, PACF has helped individuals, families, and businesses create lasting charitable legacies. With Knight leading communications and outreach, the Foundation looks forward to strengthening its relationships and expanding its impact across the Mid-Ohio Valley.
