This fund was originally established by Schott Scientific Glass, Inc., formerly known as Corning Glass, Inc., and the Wood County Technical Center to aid students in their pursuit of a post-high school education.

Recipients of the scholarship must have completed a program offered at the Wood County Technical Center or Caperton Center and must be planning to attend an accredited technical school or college. Selection of scholarship recipients is based on achievement, ability, financial need and citizenship.
