Wood County Society works to ensure all communities are united throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley so that individuals with intellectual and developmental differences are recognized for their abilities. Wood County Society meets the therapeutic, educational, and respite care needs of all individuals with intellectual and developmental differences through:

They provide programs and resources to individuals with intellectual and developmental differences throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley, including the following counties:
West Virginia – Wood, Jackson, Roane, Ritchie, Wirt, Calhoun, Tyler, Mason, and Pleasants counties.
Ohio – Washington, Athens, and Meigs counties.
