Established in 2017, the Safety Net Fund is a Field of Interest Fund that supports the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation’s (PACF) service region and its citizens in the event of an emergency, natural disaster, pandemic, or other critical need.

Grants from the Safety Net Fund are awarded at the discretion of PACF’s Grants Committee and are included in the Foundation’s overall grants budget. Funding decisions are made through established grantmaking processes.

The Fund enables PACF to respond flexibly and effectively to urgent or unexpected situations while also addressing longer-term recovery and resilience-building needs across the Mid-Ohio Valley.
