The Pennsboro High School Alumni Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to Ritchie County High School graduates who are pursing post-high school education. Many Pennsboro High School graduates and friends realize the benefit of continuing education. Some came to this realization as the result of continuing their own educations and seeing the doors to opportunity that education opens, while others understand the value as they may have seen doors closed, due to lack of education.

In either case, Pennsboro High School alumni concerned about Ritchie County's future will encourage our students to further their education beyond high school through this scholarship fund. The Pennsboro High School Alumni encourage county students to "Go for it!" This permanent scholarship fund will provide awards to Ritchie County youth for generations to come. The fund will continue to grow in its abilities to help more students by the generous support of graduates and friends of Pennsboro High School.

"Creating this permanent scholarship fund allows the Pennsboro High School name to continue in the community long after the last Pennsboro High School graduate is gone," said Pennsboro High School alumnus Lowell Jackson. At the time of the fund's creation, Pennsboro High School alumnus Tom McCullough said, "What finer way could you have to honor the instructors you had, your classmates, and the high school that gave you the opportunity to excel and make your way in the world."
