Founded in 2002 by the Parkersburg South High School (PSHS) Faculty Senate, this scholarship fund is designed to forever support PSHS graduating seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education. Each year, the PSHS Faculty Senate identifies and recommends one male and one female student to receive scholarship support. These students are, in the Faculty Senate's judgment, great young people who did not receive much scholarship aid from other sources but have much potential.

In 2004, when Terry Bragg passed away, the Faculty Senate wanted to recognize and honor her commitment to the youth of Wood County. They added her name to the scholarship fund. Bragg taught in the Wood County school system for more than 27 years and was a teacher at PSHS at the time of her death at the age of 49. She was a graduate of Parkesburg High School and West Virginia University and was a member of the West Virginia Education Association.
