The Academy of Medicine created the Parkersburg Academy of Medicine for Pediatric Department of Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in 1963. The Fund was created from funds remaining from polio inoculations. The purpose of this fund is to ensure Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, a non-profit hospital, is able to meet cultural, educational, welfare, recreational and medical needs of the Mid-Ohio Valley area. Serving the community for many years, Camden Clark Memorial Hospital strives to modernize and enlarge its pediatric facilities and recruit the best physicians and surgeons.
