The Parkersburg Area County Community Foundation (PACF) Scholarship Fund was created by the Foundation's board to provide a way for donors of many means to support scholarships for Wood County students. The fund was initiated with a gift to support scholarships from Ms. Hildred Gorrell Montgomery. Gifts may be made to the fund in honor or memory of individuals, and the Foundation will make ongoing scholarships that recognize the individuals honored or memorialized. The Parkersburg Area County Community Foundation Scholarship Fund will serve as a general purpose, county-wide scholarship fund that will annually provide support for former Wood County high school students who plan to pursue post-secondary education at a college, university, vocational, or technical school.
PACF encourages additional gifts to the Parkersburg Area County Community Foundation Scholarship Fund in order to build the endowment of the fund and to provide future scholarships for students.
