This fund was created to honor and celebrate the life of the late Michael Edward Shirey.

Mr. Shirey was born on December 21, 1946 in Lufkin, TX. Mike was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a professional engineer for Eramet (previously named Union Carbide and Elkem). Following his retirement in 2003, Mike began his "second career", playing golf at Oxbow. He also enjoyed frequent visits to Myrtle Beach.
