THE ALICE AND JACK MYERS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship was set up by Alice Myers after the death of her husband, Jack. The Myers' were members of the Kiwanis Club of North Parkersburg for many years and were not blessed with children, but wanted to help young people to further their education. The scholarship was their way of supporting a graduating senior who participated in the Key Club at Parkersburg South High School. The recipient has to actively participated in Key Club during his or her high school years and who has been admitted to a course of study as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning.

THE JOSEPH F. JOHNSTON SCHOLARSHIP

Mr. Johnston was Dean of Boys and Director of Pupil Academic Program at Parkersburg High School. He was a dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club of North Parkersburg and the Club set up this scholarship in Mr. Johnston's honor for his long-time service to Parkersburg High School. This scholarship shall be provided to a graduating high school senior at the Parkersburg High School who has actively participated in Key Club during his or her high school years and who has been admitted to a course of study as a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning.
