When the Junior Department of Parkersburg Women's Club ceased to be active, they looked for an appropriate way to use funds left in their treasury to benefit the community. The organization decided to create a field-of-interest fund at the Foundation to support projects related to the needs of women and children.

The Foundation uses the earnings from this fund each year to support important projects in the community that benefit women and children.
