Gregory Summers

Created by Mrs. Edna Summers, the Gregory A. Summers Memorial Fund honors the life of Gregory A. Summers, who died tragically in the fire that destroyed the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, on April 19, 1993.

A 1983 graduate of Parkersburg High School, Gregory recognized his love for theater in high school and fostered his love for acting in school productions. He also was the school mascot. After graduation, he attended West Virginia University in Morgantown for a year, then later graduated from Hawaii Pacific College with an associate's degree.

He began work for Mutual of New York and moved to California soon after to work as a sound technician at several Los Angeles recording studios. Community service was an important element in Gregory's life, and he volunteered his time for organizations like Habitat for Humanity. Gregory was a member of the Branch Davidian faith.

The Gregory A. Summers Memorial Fund provides annual support to Parkersburg Catholic High School.
