Giving
Longtime residents of Wood County, Randy and Teresa Law, created the C. Randall and Teresa A. Law Charitable Fund with the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation to support two vital organizations that contribute to the community's literacy and health. This endowment fund is a testament to the couple's dedication to giving back to the community that has given them so much.
Randy Law, who retired from WesBanco in 2012 after serving as Senior Vice President of Trust and Investment Services, and Teresa Law, a retired French teacher and chairperson of the World Languages Department at Parkersburg High School, have deep roots in this community. Now residing at Alpine Lake Resort in Terra Alta, WV, they frequently travel to visit their sons and their families, but their commitment to Wood County remains unwavering.
“We want to show our appreciation for how blessed we are to have lived and worked in Parkersburg,” said Randy Law. “We want to pay it forward.”
The C. Randall and Teresa A. Law Charitable Fund will annually support the Parkersburg and Wood County Public Library, specifically for the acquisition of reading materials in print, audio, or virtual formats. This funding aims to enhance literacy and provide resources for community members of all ages. The Fund will also annually support the WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, providing unrestricted funds to enhance the health and wellness of children in the region.
This gift represents a significant investment in the future of our communities, ensuring that vital resources are available now and forever.
