Planning for Your Clients' Future Without a Crystal Ball

November 2, 2022 | 2:00 – 6:00pm

EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR

The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation is hosting a seminar for business owners and their advisors that will offer practical perspectives on the importance of tax, estate, and charitable planning well before one makes a personal “exit” from a privately owned business or the sale of a business. Hear from local business owners who will share some of their own experiences, and leading national business transaction, tax, and estate planning professionals who are well-experienced in these areas and who offer a depth of perspective on this topic that’ll be of interest to both advisers and business owners alike.

Mark your calendar now for either or both of two afternoon sessions and a social hour to follow.

  • Session 1: 2:00 - 3:30pm
    • Will cover the more technical tax, estate planning, and legal aspects of pre-sale and sale planning.
  • Session 2: 3:30 - 5:00pm
    • A panel of local business owners will share their own stories about planning for their companies’ ownership and management succession, including their experiences in working with a team of advisors.
  • Reception: 5:00 - 6:00pm
    • The sessions will be followed by a social reception where business owners and advisors can informally gather additional information from session presenters and others.

Continuing education credit has been requested for those attending. More details will follow in the coming weeks. Thank you!
